The CriblVision Pack changes how you monitor and manage your data pipelines. With the release of Search Packs for Cloud users, we’ve made it easier than ever to get comprehensive insights into your Stream environment. Whether you’re a seasoned Packs user or new to the concept, CribVision offers an easy-to-understand view of your Stream instance in minutes.
As most of you know, Packs aren’t new; they are just new to Cribl Search. If you are currently using Cribl Stream, you have probably already taken advantage of them, assisting you in quickly building and sharing configuration models. Now, we are using them to streamline how Search creates dashboards, and if you are thinking this is only a Search thing, think again. It's a pretty cool way to visualize what's happening in Stream quickly, and if you are an experienced Packs user, it will only take a minute or two to get up and running.
On the other hand, if Packs are brand new to you, then you’d better set aside 3 or 4 minutes. It's just that easy! As a Cribl.Cloud user, you already have access to Cribl Search, even if you have never used it: just click on the Search tab, look for and then click on the Packs button (upper left), and select one of the options (see choices later in the blog). That's all there is to it; your dashboard will automatically populate. Then try another. There is nothing new to learn.
Now, all Stream users know the great information available in Stream; if you need to check out log reduction numbers, jump to the pipeline section. Need the scoop on memory or CPU usage? Jump to monitoring. And what about checking error counts by Worker Group? It's just a few more clicks, and you’re in the know. But with CriblVision, we’ve made it even simpler. Stream is already collecting those logs– all that information– and Criblvision unlocks visibility into what is already there. Just launch Search Packs, and you are greeted with a bird's eye view of your Stream instance, cloud, or hybrid.

What’s in the CriblVision Pack?
It provides a collection of dashboards and panels, enabling you to monitor and troubleshoot your Cribl Stream Cloud instance. CriblVision was crafted to address the precise product areas most Stream users are interested in. These dashboards are the fruits of countless hours our engineers spent working with you and our users to provide the specific information required as efficiently as possible. CriblVision serves up the following out-of-the-box dashboards:
HealthCheck provides a high-level overview of your deployments' health. It includes visibility into CPU, memory, input/output, Destination status, Worker Process actions, and more. Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact performance.
Log Statistics - Quickly surface log-level trends to help you troubleshoot issues with your Worker nodes. See warnings, errors, and overall information across all channels.
Volume Metrics - A breakdown of dataflows in your Stream environment and provides detailed analysis on a per-route basis. Easily see route metrics, including inputs, outputs, % reductions per Worker Group, and more. Identify optimization opportunities, bottlenecks, and more.
Data Reduction Value - Reports on data ingress vs egress values. Provides an input box where you can specify the dollar amount for each GB of data and clearly shows your ingest savings for your downstream tool of analysis. Demonstrate the tangible value of Cribl Stream to stakeholders with clear, actionable metrics.
The CribVision Pack provides the easiest way to view and manage your Stream environments, and just like original Packs, it's not a one-and-done. Want to add, remove, or edit a dashboard panel? No problem. Just click the edit button, and you'll be on your way. Like the concept, but want to add a brand-new dashboard on specific data? We have you covered there, too. Just select Dashboards, Add Dashboard, and select the Copilot assistance and it will recommend and guide you through the process. It only takes seconds or minutes if you want to get complicated.
Conclusion
Seasoned Stream users typically focus on results, not necessarily the process, so anything that gets you to the endpoint faster is always a primary goal. Cribl Packs provides a framework that simplifies building, iterating, and sharing configuration modules. Now, Search Pack dashboards can provide a complete view of your Stream instance on a single screen in minutes.
In a nutshell, Cribl believes in a collective endeavor. Together, we're transforming the way you visualize, manage, and troubleshoot your deployment, and your unique perspectives and contributions will drive this evolution forward. So, jump to the CriblVision Pack and check it out.
